    VANYA : Promoter of Tribal Art & Culture

    Tribal Society, without any ambiguity, has been the custodian of culture, tradition and natural resources as every nation or state archieves significance and finds distinction with its tribal culture, tradition, literature, myths, beliefs and their ways of living, while achieving an integral connection with it. In this regards, Vanya Prakashan has been active as a promoter for nearly three decades and attained many successful feats in all these years.

    Vanya Prakashan was established on 25th March 1980 under the Tribal Welfare Department of Madhya Pradesh for promotion and conservation of Tribal Tradition, Cultural magnificence and proper exposure of Government welfare scheme for Tribal Communities. Vanya organizes various programmes in order to fulfill its various commitments. Hence, Vanya has been playing a pivotal role in Madhya Pradesh while spreading far and wide in the country.

    Vanya has been effective in socializing the tribal traditions and culture, existent in remote forest areas, with the present day society through the use of modern printing and electronic mediums. Also the Vanya Organizes workshops and exhibitions or tribal painting and sculptures at the highest level to acquaint the tribal artists with the world of Art and provide a platform to exhibit their skills. Efforts of Vanya have resulted in various tribal artists of Madhya Pradesh attaining various feats in the country.

    Shri Sriram Tiwari is known for his varied interests in Literature, Art, Cinema and various activities related to promotion of Indian patriotic values, tribal culture, its history and related literature.

    Shri Tiwari has edited and published more than 50 books based on Literature, Art, Cinema and Swaraj. He has also been associated as Editor of Art magazine ‘ Kalavarta’, ‘Rangshivir’, a cinema critic journal ‘Patkatha’ ‘ Bharatiya Film Varshiki’, children’s magazine ‘ Samajh Jharokha’, Feature service ‘Swaraj Sandarbh’ and ‘ Vanya Sandarbh’. He has also been associated with ‘Swaraj Pustakmala’, ‘Akshan Nidhi Pustakmala’ and ‘Adi Sandarbh Pustakmala’.

    Shri Tiwari has been associated in the conceptualization and production of radio serial based on the songs of Freedom Struggle ‘ Vatan Ka Raag’ , Radio serial based on the tribal life and culture ‘ Badte Kadam’, television serial ‘ Naye Dwar’, ‘Jan Samwad’ and ‘ Adivashi Swar’.

    Shri Tiwari has also been associated in the conceptualization and promotion of ‘Azad Hind’ – a FM Radio completely based on Freedom Struggle. As well as he has been promoting several community-based radio. ‘Radio Vanya’, based on the tribal life and culture.
